Chocolate Shell Strawberry Nice Cream

Why I love it

The chocolate shell is just unreal! Trying to break into it was the best part, you can really get out your frustrations. This recipe not only teaches you how to make a chocolate shell, but is a great general recipe of how to make nice cream. The texture is just like ice cream and it’s much healthier! I hope you guys try this and have a sweet time doing it.

 

Ingredients

•1/4 cup plant-based milk

•2 frozen bananas 

•Handful of frozen strawberries 

•1/2 cup chocolate (I used Enjoy Life Foods)

•1 tsp coconut oil 

•Handful of pomegranate seeds

Replacements

You can substitute in 1 tbsp of cacao powder if you don’t like strawberry ice cream.

 

Recipe

1. Blend milk with frozen bananas and frozen strawberries. Try to use as little liquid as possible so that it has an ice cream texture. You may have to let the frozen fruit sit out for 5 minutes so that it will blend more easily. 

2. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30 second increments in the microwave until melted.

3. Gently pour over the nice cream and spread until it reaches the edge. Top with pomegranate seeds. 

4. Freeze for 20 minutes then crack into it! Enjoy!
