The Best Vegan Chocolate Donuts
Why I love it
The best dessert, afternoon pick-me-up, or even breakfast!! These are healthy too!! They’re baked and use oats as the flour. That’s a win for me. Enjoy these even without the sprinkles and chocolate on top and they’re still healthy and delish. Donuts are literally bae. Buy yourself a mold on amazon for less than $8. I donut understand people who donut like them!
Ingredients
Dry:
•1 1/4 cup oats blended
•1/2 cup sugar
•1/4 cup cacao powder
•1/2 tsp baking powder
•1/2 tsp baking soda
•1/2 tsp salt
Wet:
•1 cup plant milk
•1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
•1/2 tsp vanilla extract
•2 flax eggs (2 tbsp flax and 5 tbsp water)
•1/2 cup peanut butter (I used crunchy)
Topping:
•Melted chocolate chips
•Rainbow sprinkles
Replacements
You can leave off the frosting to make these a bit healthier!
Recipe
1. Preheat your oven to 350 F.
2. Add dry ingredients to a bowl and mix.
3. Form a well and slowly stir in the wet ingredients. Make sure you get the lumps out!
4. Use a cookie scoop or melon baller to evenly distributed the batter into donut molds. This will be about 1/4 cup for each one. It will yield 12.
5. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool.
6. Melt chocolate and dip the donuts in. Top with sprinkles. Enjoy!
