4-Ingredient Healthy Fudgy Brownies

Applesauce Brownies.jpg

Why I love them

ATTENTION BROWNIE LOVERS! These 4-ingredient vegan applesauce brownies are exactly what you need as a healthy dessert. Yes I said applesauce- use your leftover applesauce- you know the kind that you always buy for one recipe and can’t finish- and make these gooey brownies. We don’t want vegan cake brownies- we know we want vegan fudgy brownies, so this recipe is for you. You will get major brownie points if you share these with your roommates, friends, or family, and it’s a bonus for you because it’s an easy vegan recipe to follow.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce

  • ½ cup peanut butter

  • ⅔ cup cacao powder

  • 2 tbsps agave

  • Optional toppings: dairy free chocolate chips, plant milk and/or coconut yogurt.

Replacements

You can substitute cocoa for cacao powder, or maple syrup for agave.

Recipe

1. Preheat your oven to 350 F.

2. Mix together the unsweetened applesauce, peanut butter, cacao powder, and agave.

3. Once combined, pour into a loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Add chocolate chips on top and place this in the oven for 20 minutes.

4. Let it cool and slice some brownie! I served mine with coconut yogurt, but dipping these in milk would be delicious too. Enjoy!
